Booking link on Instagram and Facebook: turn followers into bookings
Put your booking link where followers can use it: Instagram bio, Stories, highlights, Facebook Page button and messages. Practical steps for salons and clinics.
Followers who like your work are only one tap away from becoming clients, as long as the tap leads somewhere useful. Most salons and clinics post great photos and then make people send a message to ask for a time. A booking link on Instagram and Facebook removes that step and lets people book while they are still looking at your work.
Instagram: five places for your link
- Link in bio. This is the single most important spot. Paste your booking page link in the website field, and write a short line above it such as "Book online 24/7". Do not hide the booking link behind a long list of other links.
- Link sticker in Stories. Add a link sticker to Stories about openings, new treatments or offers. Use a clear label like "Book now" and not just "Link".
- Highlights. Create a highlight called "Book" or "Prices & booking" that holds a few Stories with the link sticker and a short how-it-works. People tap highlights when they are deciding.
- Captions and pinned posts. Links in captions are not clickable, so write "Link in bio" and pin a post that explains how to book. Update the pinned post when your offers change.
- Direct messages. When someone asks "do you have time on Friday?", reply with the booking link instead of going back and forth. It saves you minutes and the client sees live availability.
Menus and button names on these platforms change often, so look for terms like "website", "link" and "action button" in your profile editor.
Facebook: use the action button
On a Facebook Page, set the main action button (often labelled "Book now" or similar) to open a website link, and point it to your booking page. Also add the link in the page description and the About section, and pin a post at the top of the page with the link. If you use Messenger, set a saved reply that includes the booking link.
What to post so the link gets used
- Before and after photos with a note on the service and duration.
- Short videos of the treatment, with the price range in the caption.
- Openings: "Two spots left on Thursday, link in bio".
- Team introductions: people book people.
- Client results with permission, and reviews.
A simple rhythm is three posts a week and daily Stories when you have openings. End each with one clear action, not three.
Track what works
A link is only useful if you know whether it brings bookings. Use a separate trackable link or QR code for each place: one for Instagram, one for Facebook, one for flyers. After a month you can see which channel delivers visits and bookings and where to put your effort. You can also add a "How did you hear about us?" question to your booking form.
Common mistakes
- A link in bio that opens a general homepage instead of the booking page.
- Using "Contact us to book" when online booking exists.
- Long link lists that bury the booking link.
- Posting an offer without a way to book it.
- Forgetting to remove expired offers.
How to do this in Calendia
Your Calendia booking page has its own link that you can paste into your Instagram bio, Stories and Facebook button. QR codes and tracked links with scan tracking let you see which channel each visit came from, explained in QR links. If you want your own address, set up a custom domain. The full overview of ways to share the page is in share your online booking page. You can also run a campaign or promotion and promote its link in your posts. Because Calendia has no marketplace, these bookings come without commission.
