Set up PayPal payment options
Understand the separate Braintree and PayPal POS/Zettle entries before configuring payments.
Calendia lists PayPal Braintree and PayPal POS / Zettle as different payment connections. Choose the product and integration path your provider has approved; a standard PayPal account alone does not supply the terminal API or handoff service these fields expect.
Braintree
The Calendia form asks for a Merchant account ID, Access token, and optional Reader profile ID. Braintree distinguishes a merchant account ID from the gateway merchant ID. Its credential guide explains where to find merchant account IDs. An access token is part of a partner OAuth integration, not the ordinary public/private API key pair; see Braintree's OAuth guide. Confirm the required partner access for terminal payments with Braintree and the supported live connection with Calendia support before entering values.
PayPal POS / Zettle
This separate entry expects a Merchant account ID, a Reconciliation secret, and a working Handoff URL supplied by your approved POS integration. A reconciliation URL and access token may also be needed for status polling. Contact Calendia support or your integration partner to confirm a supported live handoff has been configured; entering credentials alone cannot open Zettle or confirm a payment. Request the real URLs, token, and signing secret from your integration provider; do not guess them.
Test a transaction in the provider's test environment. Check the final result in both systems before requesting another payment. Neither Calendia entry supports automatic terminal refunds here; follow your provider's refund procedure.
