Set up Viva.com Terminal
Connect Viva.com POS API credentials and assign each terminal to the right location.
For Viva.com Terminal, you need a Viva merchant account, an activated terminal, and POS APIs Credentials. Viva separates these from Smart Checkout credentials. In the Viva demo or live account, open Settings > API Access and generate the POS APIs Credentials used for the Cloud Terminal API. Viva documents this in its POS credentials guide. Get the merchant ID from the same Viva account and keep the client secret private.
Connect it in Calendia
Open Company settings > Payments and choose Viva.com Terminal. Enter the Merchant ID as account identifier and the POS API Client ID and Client secret in the matching credential fields. Select Sandbox with demo credentials first; select Production only with production credentials. A source code is optional in Calendia; add one only if your Viva setup uses it. Save, sync terminals, and assign the correct default terminal to each Calendia location. The optional cash register ID identifies your register in Viva requests.
Test and troubleshoot
Send a small sandbox payment and verify its terminal result in Calendia. Test a refund against a suitable original transaction before going live. If authentication fails, check that the credentials came from POS APIs Credentials, not Smart Checkout, and that demo and live values were not mixed. If no terminal appears, check its activation, merchant account, and network access. Viva's EFT POS API guide explains the device IDs and payment flow.
